The day of…

Long flights, long drives and a beautiful cool March day. Sharry & Tyler seemed a little quiet at first but as I got to know them during our talks I found out that both of them were fun loving and Tyler was very goofy (a trait that I can appreciate). Although it got a little cool later in the evening it was all around a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding at the beautiful Briar Rose Hill.

The Ceremony

The Ceremony of Tyler & Sharry took place in front of the beautiful plantation home at Briar Rose Hill. The front of the house is typically reserved for smaller weddings like this one and provides a beautiful backdrop for photographers. Tyler & Sharry were joined at the altar by Tyler’s dad Ken and Sharry’s sister Sheramie. I was honored to officiate the wedding and provide the service that ultimately joined them in marriage. Sharry walked down the aisle with her father to a traditional Filipino ballad called “Ikaw”

The Reception

Ken, the groom’s father, gave an awesome toast to his son and Sharry during the reception. He also thanked Sharry’s father who flew in from the Philippines to be in attendance at the wedding. Following that was another boss dinner from Crave and a beautiful naked cake from Faboo. It’s rare to see the color yellow center stage at a wedding, but the Briar Rose Hill team pulled off some really beautiful centerpieces and florals on the cake.

The Dancing

Multiple people were “fished” out onto the dance floor by Tyler and Sharry’s sister spent most of the evening beside her on the dance floor. It was cold, but warm on the floor as some of the friends created fun and energetic twists on the traditional dancing.

Conclusion

A beautiful ceremony in front of the house, heart felt speeches during the dinner and two people who clearly love each other very much. Good luck Tyler & Sharry, hope Birmingham is being awesome for the both of you!!
